Based in Ghent, Tractonomy Robotics develops solutions of multi-robot systems for transporting materials on carts or pallets. Built in Belgium with state-of-art components and software, Tractonomy’s robots are highly reliable and safe solutions with an ability to dock with and tow carts of all sizes. Developing a complex system like an autonomous mobile robot for logistics requires deep knowledge of multiple disciplines ranging from perception and machine learning to autonomous navigation  and mechatronics for control. Tractonomy aims to brings predictability to customer operations with multi-robot solutions that transport goods on carts and pallets. By creating cost-effective and efficient ways to transfer materials in warehouses and production sites, Tractonomy makes material handling easy to manage while increasing productivity, minimizing errors and accident risks.

"iOmega is a committed partner who stood by us until our proposal was granted by the Flemish Authorities"

Dr. Keshav Chintamani, CEO Tractonomy

iOmega assisted Tractonomy in building a strong technical and administrative file towards a successful Development Project grant. The project file was complex due to the multi-disciplinary nature of the solution, which required considered diverse innovation goals ranging from a novel hardware design to step changes in AI for the robot’s perception of its environment and complex algorithms for navigating, docking and multi-robot control.  Today, the startup has closed a seed round with strategic investors and in combination with the grant, has grown the team to 5 full-times working to solve hard problems in mobile robotics.
